# [Supported Files and Processing Limits](#supported-files-and-processing-limits)

Feedback

Check this page before sending a large batch or an unusual file format.

## [Supported file types](#supported-file-types)

Feedback

DigiParser accepts:

Feedback

*   **PDF**
*   **Images**: PNG, JPEG, JPG
* **Microsoft Office**: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX
* **Text and data**: TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, XML

Feedback

Older Microsoft Office formats such as `.doc`, `.xls`, and `.ppt` are not listed as supported. Save them in the newer DOCX, XLSX, or PPTX format first.

Feedback

Clear digital documents usually produce better results than blurry, cropped, or low-resolution photos.

## [Uploading from the app](#uploading-from-the-app)

Feedback

The Document Inbox uploader currently accepts:

Feedback

* Up to **500 files** in one batch
* Up to **100 MB per file**

Feedback

Large batches may wait in **Queued** before processing begins. You can leave the upload drawer after the files have been accepted and follow their status in the Document Inbox.

## [Importing from URLs](#importing-from-urls)

Feedback

URL imports accept:

Feedback

* Up to **20 URLs** in one request
* Up to **100 MB per file**
* Public HTTP or HTTPS links with no more than five redirects
* Downloads that finish within five minutes

Feedback

The URL must return the file without requiring browser cookies, sign-in, or embedded credentials. Localhost, private-network, local-device, and cloud-metadata addresses are blocked.

Feedback

See [Processing from URLs](/docs/guides/document-processing/processing-from-urls) for API and classifier behavior.

## [Connected cloud storage](#connected-cloud-storage)

Feedback

OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box imports accept supported downloadable files up to **100 MB per file**. Empty files, folders, and unsupported file types are skipped.

Feedback

Cloud storage monitoring begins when you save the integration. Files already present in the selected folder are not imported. A source file is imported once; renaming, moving, or updating the same file does not create another DigiParser document.

Feedback

For Google Drive:

Feedback

* Google Docs, Slides, and Drawings are imported as PDF files.
* Google Sheets are imported as XLSX files.
* Google Forms, Google Maps, and Drive shortcuts are skipped.

Feedback

See [Importing from OneDrive](/docs/guides/integrations/importing-from-onedrive), [Importing from Google Drive](/docs/guides/integrations/importing-from-google-drive), [Importing from Dropbox](/docs/guides/integrations/importing-from-dropbox), or [Importing from Box](/docs/guides/integrations/importing-from-box) for setup instructions.

## [Uploading through MCP](#uploading-through-mcp)

MCP clients can send:

* Up to **20 public URLs**, with up to **100 MB per file**
* Or up to **20 inline base64 files**, with **2 MiB of decoded file data in total**

Use a URL upload for larger local files. See [MCP Server](/docs/api/mcp) for setup, upload behavior, and error details.

## [Sending documents by email](#sending-documents-by-email)

Feedback

The email import screen currently shows:

Feedback

* Up to **20 attachments** in one email
* Up to **25 MB** for the complete email
* Up to **20 MB** for one attached document

Feedback

Your email provider may have a lower sending limit. If a large message is rejected, upload the document directly in DigiParser instead.

Feedback

PDF attachments keep their full page count. To process only selected pages, use [Pages to be parsed](/docs/guides/parsers/parser-settings/pages-to-be-parsed).

Feedback

You can also limit the attachment formats a parser accepts from email. See [Configure Email Processing](/docs/guides/parsers/parser-settings/email-processing).

## [Pages and credits](#pages-and-credits)

Feedback

Processing uses page credits. The exact credit cost depends on the number of pages and the parser options you enable.

Feedback

Features such as higher-accuracy extraction, confidence scores, or AI splitting may use additional credits. DigiParser shows these costs beside the relevant setting.

Feedback

Each visible message in an email conversation uses at least one processing page. A message longer than 5,000 visible characters continues onto additional pages. Email attachments keep their normal page counts. See [How Credits Are Calculated](/docs/guides/troubleshooting/credits-and-billing#email-bodies) for examples.

Before a large batch:

1. Open the team menu and click **Billing**.
2. Check the team's available credits.
3. Estimate the number of document pages.
4. Include any additional cost shown for enabled parser features.

For more information, see [Billing and Credits](/docs/guides/advanced-features/billing-and-credits).

## [Processing time](#processing-time)

Feedback

Small documents often finish quickly, while large files, large batches, splitting, and complex extraction may take longer.

Feedback

Use the status rather than repeatedly uploading the same document:

Feedback

* **Uploading** - The file is still being transferred.
* **Queued** - DigiParser accepted it and is waiting to start.
* **Processing** - Extraction is running.
* **Processed / Approved** or **In Review** - Extraction finished.

Feedback

See [Document Statuses](/docs/guides/managing-data/document-statuses) for the complete list.

## [If a file is not accepted](#if-a-file-is-not-accepted)

* Confirm that its extension is listed above.
* Save older Office files in a newer format.
* Try opening the file on your computer to make sure it is not damaged.
* Check whether an email attachment type is blocked in parser settings.
* For a large email attachment, upload it from the Document Inbox instead.
* For an MCP inline file over 2 MiB, use a public downloadable URL.
* For a URL import, confirm that the link returns the file without sign-in or cookies.
* For a connected cloud folder, confirm that the file was added after monitoring started and is inside the selected folder scope.
* For a password-protected PDF, configure a password rule before processing.

## [Next steps](#next-steps)
