# Exporting to Dropbox

Save each processed document's original file to a Dropbox folder

## [Before you start](#before-you-start)

You need a Dropbox account with permission to add files to the destination folder. Files must be available in DigiParser, nonempty, and no larger than 100 MB.

## [Add Dropbox export](#1-add-dropbox-export)

1.  Open your parser and go to **Settings -> Integrations**.
2.  Under **Direct exports**, click **Add** next to **Export to Dropbox**.
3.  Expand **Export to Dropbox** under **Added integrations**.

## [Connect Dropbox](#2-connect-dropbox)

Click **Connect Dropbox**, sign in, and approve the connection. If you previously connected Dropbox for an import, you can select the same account.

## [Select the destination](#3-select-the-destination)

Browse Dropbox folders and open the folder you want to use. Click **Select this folder**, then click **Test access** to confirm that DigiParser can use it.

The access test is read-only and does not create a file.

## [Configure the filename](#4-configure-the-filename)

Enter the filename DigiParser should use. The default `{{original_filename}}` token keeps the source document's name. You can add literal text, for example `processed-{{original_filename}}`.

Filenames cannot contain slashes, control characters, or path traversal text. DigiParser rejects invalid names instead of changing them.

## [Choose duplicate behavior](#5-choose-duplicate-behavior)

*   Leave **Replace an existing file** off to preserve existing files. Dropbox creates a new file and adds a number to its name when needed.
*   Turn it on to overwrite the exact destination path.

Click **Save configuration**.

## [Check the result](#6-check-the-result)

Process a test document, then open the selected Dropbox folder. The original document file should appear with the configured name.

If the parser uses review stages, DigiParser waits for final approval. Without review stages, the file is exported after processing.

Reprocessing a document after a successful export does not create another automatic export.

## [If the file does not appear](#if-the-file-does-not-appear)

Feedback

*   Confirm that the document finished processing or received final approval.
*   Expand the integration and confirm that it shows **Configured**.
*   Click **Test access** again.
*   Reconnect Dropbox if DigiParser reports an expired connection.
*   Check that the original file is available and no larger than 100 MB.
