Feedback

Create a Zap that sends documents from Gmail, Dropbox, or another app into DigiParser.

Feedback

Before continuing, [connect DigiParser to Zapier](/docs/guides/integrations/setting-up-zapier).

## [Add the source app](#1-add-the-source-app)

Create a Zap and choose the app and event that provides the document.

For example, use **Gmail - New Email** or **Dropbox - New File in Folder**.

## [Add DigiParser](#2-add-digiparser)

Add **DigiParser app - Import Document** as the action and select your saved connection.

## [Choose the destination](#3-choose-the-destination)

In **Parser or Classifier**, choose:

* A parser when every file uses the same extraction fields
* A classifier when the source contains mixed document types

## [Map the document](#4-map-the-document)

Map either:

* **File** - Use a file or attachment from the earlier step.
* **File URL** - Use a direct link that downloads without sign-in.

Add **File Name** only when you want to replace the original name.

## [Test and publish it](#5-test-and-publish-it)

1. Test the action.
2. Confirm that the document appears in DigiParser.
3. Publish the Zap.

## [What success looks like](#what-success-looks-like)

Feedback

The Zap creates one new document in the selected parser or classifier whenever the source event occurs.

Feedback

To send the completed fields somewhere else, create a separate [processed-data Zap](/docs/guides/integrations/zapier-use-processed-data).

## [If it does not work](#if-it-does-not-work)

Feedback

* Reopen the DigiParser step if a parser or classifier is missing.
* Check the API key's parser access.
* Open a file URL in a private browser window to confirm that it downloads without signing in.
* Confirm that the selected destination accepts the file type.
