# [Understand Document Statuses](#understand-document-statuses)

Feedback

A document's status tells you where it is in the DigiParser workflow. Use the status filter in the **Document Inbox** to focus on documents that need attention.

## [Statuses while DigiParser is working](#statuses-while-digiparser-is-working)

### [Uploading](#uploading)

Feedback

The file is still being transferred to DigiParser.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Keep the upload drawer open until the file is accepted.
* If the upload stops, check your internet connection and try uploading the file again.

### [Queued](#queued)

Feedback

DigiParser accepted the document and is waiting to start processing it. This is normal for large files or batches.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Wait for it to move to **Processing**.
* Do not upload another copy just because it is queued.

### [Processing](#processing)

Feedback

DigiParser is reading the document and extracting the fields and tables.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Wait for processing to finish.
* For a document that is clearly stuck, open it and use the reprocess option shown by DigiParser.

## [Statuses after processing](#statuses-after-processing)

### [Processed / Approved](#processed--approved)

Feedback

Extraction is complete. If the parser does not use an approval workflow, processed documents appear in this group. If approvals are enabled, it also contains documents that completed all required approvals.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Open the document and check the important fields.
* Export it or let your configured integrations run.

### [In Review](#in-review)

Feedback

Extraction is complete, but the document is waiting for review or approval.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

*   Open the document.
*   Correct any extracted values.
* Approve or reject it if it is assigned to you.

### [Rejected](#rejected)

Feedback

A reviewer rejected the document.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Open it and check the review information.
* Correct the data or parser setup.
* Reprocess it when extraction needs to run again.

### [Skipped](#skipped)

Feedback

DigiParser received the document but deliberately did not extract it.

Feedback

Common reasons:

Feedback

* The parser's **Document type rules** determined that it should not be processed.
* A classifier could not route it to a parser.
* A rule determined that it should not be processed.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

* Open the document and read the reason shown.
* Correct the parser or classifier rule if the document belongs there.
* Send it to the correct parser or reprocess it after fixing the setup.

### [Failed](#failed)

Feedback

DigiParser could not finish the upload or processing.

Feedback

What to do:

Feedback

1. Open the document and read the failure message.
2. Check the file, available credits, password rules, and parser settings.
3. Use **Re-process document** when available.
4. If the original upload failed before DigiParser received the file, upload it again.

Feedback

See [Processing Failures](/docs/guides/troubleshooting/processing-failures) for a complete checklist.

## [Assigned to Me](#assigned-to-me)

Feedback

**Assigned to Me** is a filter rather than a separate processing status. It shows documents waiting for you in a review workflow.

Feedback

Open each document, compare the original with the extracted data, make corrections, and then approve or reject it.

## [Find documents by status](#find-documents-by-status)

Feedback

1. Open the parser's **Document Inbox**.
2. Open the status filter.
3. Choose the status you want.
4. Combine it with a folder, date, or name filter when needed.

Feedback

For more filtering options, see [Find and Filter Documents](/docs/guides/how-to-filter-data).

## [Next steps](#next-steps)

Feedback

* [Check and Correct Extracted Data](/docs/guides/managing-data/editing-extracted-data) - Fix values before export
* [Reprocess Documents](/docs/guides/managing-data/reprocessing-documents) - Run extraction again after a change
