A supplier invoice belongs in accounts payable. A customer purchase order belongs in your sales workflow; it is not a supplier bill. Choose the record only after deciding the intended accounting action.

## Select the company before mapping the record

Connect and select the QuickBooks company for this parser.

### Keep each company's records separate

You can connect more than one QuickBooks company. Select the intended company for this parser before configuring accounts, vendor references, and line items.

The options shown depend on the selected export type. An expense, an item-based bill, and a journal entry require different settings.

## Map the record header and the line items

QuickBooks record fields and line fields are mapped separately in DigiParser.

Select the parser table that contains the line items. Map regular fields to the QuickBooks record and table columns to the QuickBooks lines. Complete every mapping marked with an asterisk.

Vendor, customer, product, service, and account names identify existing QuickBooks records. Use values that resolve to the intended record; ambiguous names need attention before export.

## Configure your first QuickBooks export

1. 01

    ### Add Export to QuickBooks

Open the parser's Integrations page and add QuickBooks under Direct exports.

2. 02

    ### Connect the company

Sign in to QuickBooks, choose the company, approve the connection, and select it in DigiParser.

3. 03

    ### Choose the export type

Select an expense, item-based bill, account-based bill, sales invoice, or journal entry. Complete the accounting settings shown for that type.

4. 04

    ### Map header fields and lines

Select the source table, map the document fields, then map line-item columns. Check all required fields.

5. 05

    ### Save and inspect a test record

Process a representative document. After any required approvals, check the company, vendor or customer, date, amount, and line items in QuickBooks.

## Keep review before posting

### AP invoice workflow

Supplier invoice -> extraction -> required approvals -> QuickBooks bill. Review vendor identity and account or item coding before the export runs.

### Receipt workflow

Purchase receipt -> extraction -> required approvals -> QuickBooks expense. Confirm the payment account and amount against the receipt.
