Send documents to your parser by email
Processing via Email
You can send documents to your parser by email. Each parser has its own inbox email address (e.g. [email protected]). When you send emails with document attachments to that address, DigiParser processes them automatically and adds them to your Document Inbox.
How it works
- Get the inbox address – In your parser, the inbox email is shown in the header (e.g. above the document list). Use the copy button to copy it.
- Send documents – Forward emails with attachments, or send new emails with PDFs, images, or Office files (Word, Excel, etc.) to that address.
- Processing – DigiParser receives the email, extracts the attachments, and processes them using your parser’s Fields & Tables and settings.
- View results – Processed documents appear in your Document Inbox just like ones you upload manually. You can filter, edit, and export as usual.
Email settings
In Settings → Parser Settings → Email Processing, you can control how emails are handled:
- Merge all email attachments – Combine all attachments from one email into a single document, or process each attachment as a separate document.
- Include email subject & body – Use the subject and body as context when extracting data from attachments (can improve accuracy).
- Parse email body if no attachments exist – When an email has no attachments, process the email body itself as a document.
You can also use folder-specific addresses (e.g. [email protected]) to send documents straight into a folder. See Parser Settings → Email Processing for details.
Limits and tips
- Up to 20 attachments per email. Supported types match uploads (PDF, images, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Split and merge – You can’t use Split Documents and Merge all email attachments at the same time. Enabling one turns the other off.
- Share the inbox address with vendors or clients so they can forward invoices or receipts directly into your parser.
Next steps
