Reviewing Extracted Data
Review and approve extracted data before export
Reviewing Extracted Data
After DigiParser extracts data from your documents, you can review it, fix mistakes, and—if you use Reviews & Approvals—approve or reject documents before they’re treated as final or sent to integrations.
Where to review
- Open your parser and go to the Document Inbox.
- Use the document list (left) or the data table (right) to find documents.
- Click a document or a row in the table to open the split view: original file on the left, extracted fields and tables on the right. Edit values there as needed.
Document statuses
Use the status filter (e.g. in the document list or data table) to focus on certain states:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Processing | Extraction is still running. |
| In Review | Extraction is done; the document is waiting for approval or rejection (when using Reviews & Approvals). |
| Processed / Approved | Done and, if applicable, approved. |
| Rejected | Rejected during review. |
| Failed | Upload or processing failed. |
| Assigned to Me | Filter for documents assigned to you (when using Reviews & Approvals). |
Confidence scores (optional)
If Calculate confidence scores for extracted fields is enabled in Parser Settings, each extracted value can show how confident the system is (e.g. as a percentage or color). Use this to:
- Spot low-confidence values and correct them.
- Prioritize review on documents with many low-confidence fields.
Confidence is optional and can be turned off in Parser Settings. Note: Confidence scores use 1 credit per page, which can increase processing costs.
Approving and rejecting (Reviews & Approvals)
When Reviews & Approvals is set up for your parser:
- Approve – Mark the document as approved. It will count as Processed / Approved and can flow to integrations or export.
- Reject – Mark it as rejected. It will show as Rejected and typically won’t be included in exports or downstream flows.
- Assign document – Assign a document to a team member so they review it. Use Reassign to change who it’s assigned to.
You’ll see Approved / Rejected (or similar) in the document view. Configure review steps and approvers in Settings → Reviews & Approvals.
Re-processing a document
If you change Fields & Tables or fix the original file and want to re-extract:
- Open the document in the split view.
- Use More → Re-process document. DigiParser will run extraction again with the current schema.
The document’s extracted data is replaced. Approve or review again if you use Reviews & Approvals.
Tips
- Filter by status (e.g. In Review, Failed) to work through pending or problematic documents.
- Use confidence to decide which documents to check first when you have many.
- Assign document so the right person reviews it when you work in a team.
