Editing Extracted Data
Edit and correct extracted data
Editing Extracted Data
You can edit extracted values directly in the document view. Open a document from the document list or data table, then change any field or table cell. Your changes are saved and will appear in exports and integrations.
Where to edit
- Open your parser’s Document Inbox.
- Click a document in the list (left) or a row in the data table (right).
- The split view opens: original file on the left, extracted data on the right. Edit the values on the right.
Editing a field or table cell
- Click the value you want to change. A pencil icon appears on hover.
- Click the pencil to switch to edit mode. Type the new value.
- Click Save to keep it, or Cancel to discard.
You can edit plain fields (e.g. Invoice Number, Total Amount) and table cells (e.g. line items). Changes apply immediately.
Deleting a table row
For table data (e.g. line items), you can remove a row:
- Hover over the row and use the delete (trash) icon.
- Confirm in the dialog. The row is removed from that document’s data.
Approving and rejecting
If you use Reviews & Approvals, you’ll see Approve and Reject (or a dropdown) in the document view. Use them to mark the document as approved or rejected. You can also Assign document from the More (⋮) menu so a teammate reviews it.
Re-processing a document
If you change Fields & Tables or fix the original file and want to re-extract:
- Open the document.
- Click More (⋮) → Re-process document. DigiParser runs extraction again with the current schema.
The existing extracted data is replaced. If you use review workflow, you can approve or reject again.
Tips
- Fix mistakes as you review so exports and integrations use correct data.
- Use confidence (if enabled in Parser Settings) to spot low-confidence values and correct them.
- Re-process after changing fields or uploading a better-quality file.
Document view tabs
When you open a document, you'll see tabs at the top of the right panel:
- Data – View and edit extracted fields and tables (default)
- JSON – See the raw extracted data as JSON
- Markdown – View the document as markdown text (only if markdown parsing is enabled)
- History – See a timeline of what happened to the document
See Document View Tabs for details.
